About patchwork rugs

A tradition of great Turkish rugs

There is a deeply ingrained tradition of weaving in Turkey. Sukhi is pleased to play a role in supporting this art. We work directly with the makers of patchwork rugs in Turkey. This way we can eliminate the middleman! Sukhi doesn’t have warehouses or storefronts. That means you get a great deal every time you shop with us.

Our collections

Every one of our patchwork rugs is a unique and one-of-a-kind functional work of art. Everything you get from Sukhi has been crafted with love and care. We have four different collections of patchwork rugs:

1. Overdyed patchwork rugs

Our overdyed patchwork rugs have a truly modern look. The fact that they are dyed twice gives them tons of color and appealing charm. Skilled artisans living in Turkey make these rugs. While they may come from the other side of the globe, these lively pieces will look right at home in just about any environment.

Our customers love the truly striking effect that comes from the hand-dyed process. Your friends will be talking about your rug! Sukhi has 14 different colors available. These exciting colors are not typically seen elsewhere. Overdyed rugs build on the tradition of timeless Oriental rugs. But they do so with a modern flair.

You’ll love the vibrant look that features floral and geometric prints. These hand-knotted rugs are so durable. They will last a long time. And you will be appreciating their beauty for years to come.

2. Kilim patchwork rugs

Kilims are instantly recognizable. They use a unique flatweave knotting style. Our customers adore this truly rustic look.

Do you love vintage products? Our kilims really do seem quite antique. They range in age from 35-60 years old. But don’t let their age fool you. They are highly durable and have strong cotton backings. So what gives them such a unique look and appeal? Kilim rugs are half goat hair and half cotton. This provides a one-of-a-kind look.

Kilims are ideal for a range of homes and styles. They demand attention and can breathe a great deal of life into just about any room. These rugs are so versatile and can be placed in a very wide range of spaces. Available in 6 eye-catching colors, kilim rugs showcase the creativity and artistry of Turkish rug makers.

3. Caput patchwork rugs

Striped caput rugs are also made in Turkey. Like all Sukhi rugs, talented craftswomen make them by hand. These rugs are carefully crafted from vintage cotton, goat hair and wool. The end result is a striped rug with a very natural and soft look. Part of what makes Sukhi’s caput rugs unique is that we use beautiful rugs that are between 35 and 60 years old.

There are 7 different gorgeous colors to choose from including pastel options. We love this blend of cotton and goat hair. Caput rugs are hand-woven with love and care. We think you’ll love them too.

4. Hemp patchwork rugs

Hemp is one of nature’s most durable materials. Sukhi’s all natural plain hemp rugs are made from 100% natural hemp.

Are you looking for something eco-friendly? Truly, hemp is one of the most natural and most versatile flooring options that you can get. We see that a lot of interior designers and architects are drawn to our hemp patchwork rugs. They admire their durability and versatility. Sukhi’s hemp rugs have a gorgeous patchwork design. Every rug has inconsistencies that are utterly charming. You’ll see subtle differences in color and tone. This is what provides these rugs with their deep richness.

Our hemp patchwork rugs are always woven by hand. The passion infused into these rugs really shines through. Available in 3 colors, we feel that these rugs are at home in almost any setting.
